Dear colleagues, supporters of pediatrics,

 

we invite you to the traditional – already Xth Congress of Czech Pediatric Society, this time in Liberec. This Congress will be the main domestic pediatric event held in 2012.

Our aim is to present news and the important topics in the the field of child care that would attract paediatric GPs, paediatricians from hospitals, paediatric specialist and nurses as well. Key topics will be presented in the main congress hall in the plenary session without any parallel sessions in the first part of the morning meeting, after that the program will be divided into individual sections. Congress is designed for secondary, tertiary and primary care pediaricians and specialists children´s primary  care  physicians  and  specialists  in  outpatient  clinics  for  children  and  adolescents.  Experts from different sub-specialization have been asked to prepare their presentations so that everyone can benefit, including those who are not deeply engaged in the issues, but also the presentations of primary care pediatricians from their practice are expected. The congress will also be a benefit for the professionals who are only marginally confronted with children’s medicine. We invite you to participation, active participation is welcome – theoretical and practical presentations and interesting case studies – not only from the hospital care, but also the experience of primary care physicians!

 

Great  attention  will  be  dedicated  to  presentations  in  the  form  of  posters,  content  and  formal level of this form of presentation significantly increased recently. Along with the traditional version of the posters there will be the option of using electronic forms of presentation (e-posters).
Within the Congress, a separate section for nurses will be organized. The nurses are expected to organize their own scientific program with the help of physicians.The abstracts of presentations in Czech and English will be published in a supplement to the journal Czech-Slovak Pediatrics. Detailed information about the form of the abstracts formal presentation will be available on www.cpsjep.cz and www.bos-congress.cz/cpc2012.

 

In this congress, two prizes will be awarded – the Brdlík Award for lifetime achievement in the care of children and adolescents. As at the last congress in Olomouc, the Czech Pediatric Society prepares an award – prize for the best publication of young authors under 30 years and members of our society published during the last 2 years – with an attractive financial support!

 

The exhibition of companies will present the advances in pharmacotherapy, nutrition and innovations in the field of medical technology.

 

The social program of the Congress will of course include an accompanying program according to  the  interest  and  selection  of  participants.  It  will  surely  be  not  only  an  opportunity  to  discuss scientific innovations, but also to meet colleagues again. Another advantage is the possibility to visit  a  nearby  German  region  of  with  municipal  historical  reservations  Zittau,  Görlitz,  Herrnhut, Cistercian monastery Marienthal / Ostritz, etc.
